Carlo and Claudio, friends for more than twenty years, have chosen us at OMIF to create a new ambitious and contemporary project for their restaurant.
We chose with them that the leitmotif of the whole design would be an eclectic style: bold and creative with industrial design elements.
At the base of the eclectic furniture there is the coexistence of different styles and particular joints between materials and colors.
We started from this definition and thought about how to put different colors, materials and styles together, thinking of how the ingredients of the Tuscan tradition blend together with contemporary and new elements within their recipes. And here the project began to start.
We have created a custom-made refrigerated display case inside a niche to arrange all the labels of the territory and beyond, an oak shelving and upper structure with corten iron mesh to create intimacy and separate the environments.
The eclectic touch is given by the bespoke benches made with a cerulean-colored padded seatback.
A convivial oval table with a Laminam top looks like the strong point of the whole project, together with the natural raw canvas chandeliers made on the basis of one of our sketches.
The dining room furniture is one of the most relevant and complex parts of the furniture made of oak with innovative cuts and particular diagonal positions; it is unusual compared to the usual positioning that usually prefers vertical or horizontal lines.
